Operating Theatre Technician (Hospital/West) - #1163129

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room for scheduled procedures, including cleaning and checking all equipment for optimal functionality.

• Assist in the safe transfer and positioning of patients on the operating table.

• Support surgeons by adjusting operating lights and helping with various tasks during surgical procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness across all areas of the operating suite, including terminal cleaning after procedures.

• Conduct daily inventory checks of positioning aids and accessories to ensure availability.

• Responsible for managing surgical waste and ensuring proper disposal practices are followed.

• Assist in transporting patients between the ward and operating theatre as needed.

• Carry out routine cleaning of operating theatre equipment on a weekly basis.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the surgical team.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering or relevant technical certification.

• WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Operating Theatre Support) or equivalent experience is preferred.
