$4000-4200/Mth | Research Assistant

Job Duties:

· Contributing to the development and implementation of research projects related to psychology

· Conducting psychology research data collection from populations served by the social service sector

· Setting up and maintaining databases and dashboards on Excel

· Liaising with and monitoring research data collection by collaborators

· Other research tasks and data work e.g., collating data from different sources, data analyses, literature reviews, conducting/assisting with qualitative interviews or focus groups, cleaning of audio transcripts, preparing research presentation decks.

Requirements:

· Minimally a degree in Psychology or a relevant discipline (e.g., social sciences, public health, statistics)

· Prior research experience related to psychology (e.g., data collection from human participants, managing questionnaires on online survey platforms, data cleaning and analysis)

· Facility with MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and at least 1 statistical software (e.g., RStudio, SPSS)

· Having completed an honours thesis in social sciences is a plus

· Comfort in working with special populations (e.g., youths in residential care and correctional settings)

Preferred:

· Good knowledge of quantitative and quantitative social science research methodologies

· Good understanding of intermediate-level statistical analyses (e.g. taken undergraduate-level modules on data cleaning and data analysis)

· Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

· Meticulous, detailed-oriented, highly organized, able to work independently to manage multiple deadlines

Working Schedule

• Mon – Fri: 8:30am-6:00pm

• Hybrid work arrangement
