About the role:
This position plays a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and profitability of our China division. Key priorities are to work closely with China-based teams and stakeholders on cost management, pricing strategies, procurement, inventory accuracy, and operational support, ensuring alignment with the China subsidiary’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Costing and Contribution Margin Analysis: Conducts comprehensive product cost and margin analyses, providing critical insights that support strategic pricing and profitability enhancements.
Export Pricing and Quotation: Prepares competitive and profitable quotations to the sales team by analyzing cost components and market dynamics, facilitating successful sales.
Sales Support & Business Development:
Facilitates growth by ensuring accurate pricing, contract management, and timely order fulfilment, resulting in smooth operations and customer satisfaction.Position Monitoring and Reconciliation: Maintains accurate inventory records through regular monitoring and reconciliation, minimizing discrepancies and supporting operational accuracy.
Risk Management: Manages FX hedging and MTM (Mark-to-Market) analyses to mitigate currency risks, safeguarding financial stability.
Operational and Supply Chain Support: Provides essential support across supply chain activities, coordinating with factory teams to ensure seamless production, logistics, and delivery.
Digital Transformation: Leads automation initiatives utilizing advanced tools like Power BI, enhancing reporting accuracy, reducing manual effort, and enabling real-time data-driven decisions.
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Food Science, Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
Professional Experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably within multinational, diversified or complex organizations with exposure to China markets.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision while influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.
Ability to communicate and read/write Chinese is required for this role to effectively liaise with China-based stakeholders and manage business operations in the China division.
