About the role
As an Engineering Specialist for our new Flexible FM service offering, you will be a hands-on technical expert who works directly with account teams and clients on-sites to deliver engineering services through our variable resourcing model. This is a "boots on the ground" role where you'll be deployed across multiple client locations, providing technical support, executing maintenance programs, and ensuring operational excellence at the site level. You'll be part of our centralized Front of House engineering team, working flexibly across different client accounts based on demand and technical requirements. Your day-to-day work involves direct engineering execution, troubleshooting, system assessments, and providing technical expertise to support account teams in delivering exceptional facility management services.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct regular site visits and technical assessments across assigned Flexible FM accounts
- Delivery of hands-on maintenance, repairs, and system optimization on MEP equipment
- Execute preventive maintenance programs and condition-based maintenance activities
- Respond to emergency calls and urgent technical issues across multiple sites
- Conduct equipment inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
- Provide technical expertise and engineering guidance to account managers and site teams
- Troubleshoot complex equipment failures and system malfunctions
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring technical issues
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and client standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and technical documentation
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) OR equivalent technical diploma with relevant experience
- 5-7 years of hands-on engineering experience in facilities management, building operations, or industrial maintenance
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and building automation
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between multiple client sites
- Physical ability to work in mechanical rooms, climb ladders, and perform hands-on technical work
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills for client and team interaction
