We are looking for a Solution Specialist to join our team in identifying customer needs, designing innovative healthcare solutions, and growing new business opportunities. You will work closely with prospective and existing customers to understand their operational challenges, analyse workflow requirements, and develop solution proposals that deliver measurable clinical and operational benefits.
The role involves conducting customer discovery sessions, presenting and demonstrating solutions, supporting business development activities, responding to RFIs and RFPs, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong healthcare domain knowledge, consultative problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate solution value to both technical and non-technical audiences.
1. Sales and Marketing Support
Actively assists in advancing revenue through creating selling situations based on clinical problem solving and effective use of company products to drive positive customer outcomes through:
Working closely with clinicians and healthcare stakeholders to understand and analyse existing workflows, operational challenges, and business requirements.
Conduct structured discovery sessions with customers to understand current workflows, operational pain points, data requirements, system limitations, and future automation needs.
Ask insightful and consultative questions to uncover underlying business challenges and operational requirements beyond stated customer requests.
Collect, analyse and interpret relevant operational data, including inventory volumes, dispensing frequency, storage and space constraints, existing IT infrastructure, integration requirements, and regulatory or safety considerations.
Recommend appropriate solutions to hospitals and healthcare institutions based on customer needs and operational objectives.
Translate customer requirements into practical solution recommendations aligned with clinical, operational, and business outcomes.
Develop independent high-level solution concepts, workflow designs, and preliminary proposals to address customer needs.
Present proposed solutions confidently and credibly to clinical, operational, technical, and management stakeholders.
Serve existing and prospective customers by helping define product and service requirements, specifications, and implementation considerations.
Interface with internal teams and subject matter experts to quantify customer needs and develop comprehensive solution proposals.
Provide market intelligence regarding competitive products, industry trends, and potential product enhancements.
Provide ongoing support for company-sponsored clinical and marketing product trials, pilots, and evaluations.
Where required, support and participate in major marketing initiatives such as exhibitions, trade shows, symposiums, customer workshops, and promotional campaigns.
Respond to RFIs and RFPs and follow up with prospective customers throughout the evaluation process, including solution demonstrations, presentations, proof-of-concepts, and pilot projects.
Engage internal teams and stakeholders when necessary to support opportunity development and successful closure of sales opportunities.
Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, influencers, and project stakeholders throughout the sales lifecycle.
Engage external stakeholders, strategic partners, and industry participants to identify complementary opportunities that can enhance customer value and support business growth.
Actively participate in the business development lifecycle, including opportunity identification, solution development, proposal generation, and support of sales activities.
2. Education Support
Educate and train clinicians on clinical applications / matters relating to product usage
Keeping up-to-date with the latest clinical development on supply / medication management
Work towards developing relevant clinical programs to enhance the usage of IT Healthcare products
3. New Project Implementation
Develop, document and share training plan with internal project team. Execute training to hospital users according to plan
Provide on-site support on product usage and trouble shooting
Recommend ‘Policy & Procedures’ to users based on best practice in medication / supply management
Active participation in development of test scenarios and other test activities (SIT, UAT, training)
Desired Skills and Experience
Degree / Diploma in Nursing/Pharmacy
Strong knowledge of hospital workflow and current clinical advancement
Strong business acumen
Demonstrate exemplary verbal and written communication, and presentation skills, ability to tailor communications for technical and non-technical audiences.
Extremely comfortable in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent time-management and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
Proven ability to be both a team player and work independently
Self-motivated, problem solving, team-minded entrepreneurial attitude
Able to think out of the box and adapt to changing priorities
