We are looking for a driven Purchasing Executive to join our team.
Role Overview
The Purchasing Executive will manage the end-to-end procurement process for materials, components, and services required for our manufacturing operations. You will work closely with the operations, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders (POs) in a timely manner.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify new and existing vendors for materials, components, and services.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal value.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding POs to ensure on-time delivery and resolve supply disruptions.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including vendor databases, price lists, and PO logs.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team on goods receipt, discrepancy resolution, and stock level monitoring.
• Support inventory management by tracking reorder levels and flagging shortages proactively.
• Assist in vendor performance reviews and the development of the approved vendor list (AVL).
• Work with the Finance team to reconcile invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and support payment processing.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
• Perform other procurement or administrative duties as required.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing components, parts, or raw materials is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP or procurement systems is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and supply chain challenges.
