Responsibilities:

• Secure and manage tanker chartering contracts across product, crude, and chemical segments
• Negotiate chartering terms to achieve optimal outcomes for clients and the business
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate chartering activities and execution
• Deliver market insights and tailored chartering solutions based on industry expertise
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with adaptability and initiative

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the shipping department of a Japanese trading company or a Japanese shipbroking firm
• Proven experience in tanker chartering (product, crude, and/or chemical markets)
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to perform in a fast-paced, international environment
• Strong team player with a results-driven mindset
• Proficiency in English for effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders
• Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders
