About the role

This is a direct purchasing role for a leading manufacturer specializing in advanced production and innovative solutions for the electronics industry. You will perform direct purchasing of production materials, spares, and components, working with engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications to communicate accurately with suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform direct purchasing of production materials, spares, and components

• Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications to communicate accurately with suppliers

• Use SAP to create purchase orders, track deliveries, and update schedules

• Ensure suppliers receive latest drawings and approved pricing; manage delivery schedules

• Follow processes for ECN implementation, FAI coordination, and outstanding GR/IR follow-up

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and SCM to maintain inventory and recommend new suppliers

• Support cost reduction initiatives by providing feedback to engineering

About you

• At least 2 - 3 years of direct buyer experience, preferably in semiconductor or manufacturing

• Familiarity with SAP and PLM systems (Teamcenter)

• Ability to read engineering drawings and part specifications

• Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams
