About the role

We are seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our engineering team at our Boon Lay West facility. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing engineering projects from conception through to successful completion. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating technical initiatives, ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines, and serving as a key liaison between design, manufacturing, and client teams. This role is instrumental in driving our operational efficiency and maintaining our reputation for excellence in precision casting and metal component manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards

• Manage project documentation, technical specifications, and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and client requirements

• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects or process improvements

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement to ensure seamless project execution

• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays, implementing corrective actions as necessary

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project reports, cost analyses, and performance metrics

• Communicate regularly with stakeholders and clients to provide project updates and address technical queries

• Support continuous improvement initiatives through process optimisation and innovation

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout project lifecycle

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline

• Minimum 3-5 years of project engineering experience in a plastic injection molding, die casting company or precision engineering company.

• Strong knowledge of casting processes, tooling design, and manufacturing principles

• Proficiency in using project management tools and computer-aided design (CAD) software

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external clients

• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, or equivalent) is advantageous

• Experience with cost estimation, budgeting, and resource planning will be an advantage.

• Proficienct in Microsoft Office
