About the client

Our client is a well-established engineering contractor with over 40 years of experience in Singapore, delivering complex M&E, building services, and infrastructure projects across a diverse range of sectors.

The role

The successful candidate will lead the planning, coordination, implementation, testing and commissioning of Building Management System (BMS) and Building Automation System (BAS) projects, ensuring successful project delivery while meeting technical, safety, quality and client requirements.

Salary: $6,000 - $8,000 + VB
Working hours: MON- FRI Office hours
HQ Location: Commonwealth, Singapore

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage Building Management System (BMS) and Building Automation System (BAS) projects from design review through commissioning and handover

• Lead technical discussions on BMS architecture, control strategies, integration requirements, communication protocols and system interfaces.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery

• Oversee BMS controls engineering, system integration and coordination with ACMV, electrical, fire alarm, security and other building services systems

• Review technical drawings, control schematics, specifications and project documentation

• Manage project schedules, manpower planning, site installation activities and commissioning programmes

• Supervise subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards and safety regulations

• Lead testing, troubleshooting, system integration and commissioning activities to verify system performance

• Resolve technical and site coordination issues during project execution

• Prepare and review technical submissions, shop drawings, testing records and as-built documentation

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers, supervisors and project team members
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Controls Engineering or a related discipline

• Minimum 8 years of experience in BMS, BAS or building controls systems, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role

• Strong knowledge of BMS controls, DDC controllers, control logic, system architecture and building services integration

• Familiar with communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, KNX, LonWorks or equivalent

• Good understanding of ACMV/HVAC systems and their control requirements

• Experience managing BMS project delivery, including installation, testing, commissioning and handover

• Experience delivering BMS/BAS projects in commercial, healthcare, industrial or institutional environments will be advantageous

• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, control schematics and project specifications

• Strong project coordination, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills

• Experience in M&E, building services or construction projects will be advantageous
