System Engineer - #1161165

Key responsibilities

• Perform OS patching, upgrades, security updates, user access management, file system administration, and routine maintenance activities

• Monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot system issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence

• Execute changes, deployments, incident and problem management activities using ServiceNow, while maintaining operational documentation and standards

• Collaborate with application, database, network, and security teams to support production operations, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity requirements

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration and production support environments

• Hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL), AIX, Solaris, and/or HP-UX administration

• Strong knowledge of Linux patching, system upgrades, package management, performance tuning, and server administration

• Experience managing user accounts, file systems, permissions, access controls, and SFTP services

• Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools for change, incident, and problem management

• Understanding of server security hardening, compliance requirements, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability concepts

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Willingness to participate in 24/7 support and on-call rotations as required.
