About the role
We are seeking a responsible and customer-oriented Service & Claims Advisor to support daily workshop operations, insurance and parts warranty claim handling, and customer service activities for commercial vehicles and heavy trucks. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating accident claims, vehicle servicing arrangements, repair quotations, and customer follow-ups to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Claims Handling
Attend to customers involved in accidents and assist with GIA accident reporting and insurance claim matters.
Explain the insurance claim process and required documentation to customers.
Inspect and record vehicle damage details with photos and supporting information.
Prepare repair quotations and submit insurance claim documents to insurance companies.
Liaise with insurers, surveyors, and workshop personnel regarding claim approvals and repair status.
Follow up on claim progress and provide regular updates to customers.
Coordinate repair works with workshop operations and technicians.
Ensure repair quotations and invoices are properly prepared for insurance claim submissions.
Monitor claim approval timelines and ensure all required documentation is properly completed.
Handle warranty claims for defective parts and coordinate with suppliers or principals.
Verify repair costs, parts replacement, and labour charges before claim submission.
Maintain proper filing and records for all insurance and warranty claims.
Resolve claim discrepancies or disputes with insurers and customers when required.
Customer Service Duties
Attend to walk-in customers and provide service advice.
Arrange vehicle servicing appointments and repair schedules.
Follow up with customers after repair completion.
Update customers on repair progress and estimated completion timelines.
Administrative Duties
Prepare job orders, quotations, invoices, and claim reports.
Update service and insurance claim records in the system.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth workflow and operations.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Management.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, or insurance claims environment.
Knowledge of GIA accident reporting and insurance claims procedures.
Familiar with workshop operations and vehicle servicing coordination.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience in commercial vehicle or heavy truck industry will be an advantage.
Candidates who are able to start work within short notice will be preferred.
Able to communicate in Mandarin to coordinate with Mandarin-speaking suppliers, customers, and workers.
