Warehouse Assistant (Automotive Parts)
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to support our automotive parts operations and ensure the smooth running of our workshop inventory. Join us and be part of a well-established company with steady operations and long-term opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Parts Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records of automotive parts and components.
Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Ensure proper storage and handling of parts to minimize damage and loss.
Coordinate with the service team to ensure parts are available for scheduled repairs and urgent service requests.
Ordering and Procurement:
Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source and order required parts.
Monitor stock levels and initiate timely replenishment to prevent shortages.
Maintain positive working relationships with suppliers to ensure prompt and reliable deliveries.
Parts Sourcing & Quality Control:
Source parts from reputable suppliers while ensuring compatibility with vehicle models serviced.
Verify that all parts meet company quality standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
Parts Distribution:
Issue and distribute parts accurately and efficiently to technicians.
Work closely with Service Advisors and workshop personnel to ensure timely fulfilment of service orders.
Customer Service and Support:
Respond to customer enquiries regarding parts availability and pricing.
Process parts returns and warranty claims in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure proper documentation for all returns and warranty transactions.
Record Keeping & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of parts purchases, deliveries, inventory movements, and usage.
Update parts catalogues and databases regularly to ensure information accuracy.
Cost Control & Budgeting:
Monitor parts expenditure and support inventory cost management.
Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency while maintaining service quality and availability.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum GCE O-Level, NITEC, or equivalent qualification.
At least 2 years of experience in automotive spare parts, warehouse operations, or a related field.
Physically able to lift items weighing up to 10kg.
Basic computer literacy and inventory management skills.
Forklift license will be an added advantage.
Responsible, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
