We are looking for a hands-on IT Support Technician to support a POS (Point-of-Sale) deployment project across retail outlets island-wide. This role involves both staging and on-site deployment, ensuring POS systems are properly configured, installed, and fully operational.
Responsibilities:
1. Staging & PreparationPerform staging of POS systems before deployment
Install and configure hardware and software
Conduct system testing to ensure functionality
Perform cable management for clean and organized setups
Handle boxing and unboxing of equipment and components
Travel to retail outlets island-wide for POS system deployment
Install and set up POS machines (including standing units)
Connect power, network, and peripherals
Perform on-site system testing to ensure smooth operation
Ensure receipt printers, barcode scanners, and other peripherals are working properly
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during deployment
Provide basic user support if needed
Ensure all installations are completed according to project timeline
Maintain proper handling of equipment and tools
Job Requirements
Basic knowledge of IT hardware and software installation
Experience in POS systems or IT deployment projects is an advantage
Willing to travel across multiple retail locations
Able to handle tasks that may involve moving and carrying equipment
Comfortable with hands-on work (installation, cabling, setup)
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong sense of urgency and responsibility in completing tasks
Preferred Attributes
Prior experience in retail IT deployment
Familiar with printers, scanners, and POS peripherals
Good teamwork and communication skills
