Job Responsibilities
Act as equipment owner for Wet Process tools (NIPD), ensuring high availability, stability, and performance of equipment in production.
Lead maintenance activities for wet bench systems, including Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), troubleshooting, and calibration.
Drive continuous improvement projects to improve equipment uptime, reduce maintenance cost per wafer, and enhance overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
Manage equipment installation, start-up, qualification, and handover from vendors to production.
Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technicians in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and chemical process-related issues.
Develop and maintain CM procedures, troubleshooting guides, and PM standards to improve maintenance effectiveness and reduce downtime.
Ensure proper handling and optimization of chemical processes used in wet stations, including monitoring process stability and equipment performance.
Collaborate closely with Process Engineering, Production, and Vendor teams to resolve equipment and process-related issues.
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for chronic equipment issues using structured methods (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
Monitor equipment health using SPC/FDC data and drive corrective actions based on analysis of tool performance trends.
Manage spare parts strategy, chemical consumables, and inventory control to support quick recovery and stable operations.
Support cost reduction initiatives, tool upgrades, and lifecycle management of wet process equipment.
Generate and review equipment performance reports (downtime, yield impact, recurring failures) and implement improvement actions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
More than 10 years of experience in NiPd plating process on APS (German supplier) equipment.
Strong experience in bath analysis supported by Nova Ankolyzer and deep understanding of related toolsets.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong ability to read and analyze electrical schematics and block diagrams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills, able to collaborate across departments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of statistical tools, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving methods.
PLC programming knowledge will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with AI tools and applications is an added advantage.
