Service Technician - #1160725

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled routine servicing of water treatment equipment, including RO and UF systems, at customer sites.

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or process issues on-site and perform necessary repairs to minimize system downtime.

• Pump & Equipment Overhaul: Perform maintenance, servicing, on various types of pumps, motors, valves, and associated mechanical equipment.

• System Optimization: Monitor system performance parameters, make necessary adjustments, and recommend improvements to ensure optimal operation and water quality.

• Site Coordination: Plan daily travel routes efficiently to service multiple customer locations across Singapore.

• Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed service reports after each job, documenting work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future action.

• Customer Communication: Liaise directly with customers to explain technical issues, provide updates on service status, and offer technical advice.

• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Nitec in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: Prior experience in operation & servicing water treatment systems, (RO/UF/EDI) or industrial equipment (pumps, piping) is highly advantageous. Fresh graduates with a strong technical aptitude are welcome to apply.

• Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultrafiltration (UF) system components and operation.

  • Experience with pump maintenance, bearing replacement, and seal changes.

  • Basic understanding of electrical control panels and electrical wiring is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and technical manuals of equipments.

• Other Requirements:

  • Possess a Class 3 driving license (Singapore) is mandatory.

  • 2-5 years relevant experience preferred in water/wastewater treatment systems, pumps, valves, instrumentation or related equipment.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across Singapore.

  • Willing and able to perform site-based technical duties in industrial environments.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Able to work after office hours for urgent breakdowns when required.

  • Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.

  • Senior position will be considered for candidates with more experience.
