Key Responsibilities
Commissioning & Technical Support
Carry out engine and generator commissioning, start-up, functional testing, and performance verification.
Install, configure, modify, and repair products, equipment, and systems purchased by customers.Troubleshoot, diagnose, investigate, and resolve technical issues arising during commissioning or operation.
Provide remote and on-site technical support and guidance to major customers across Asia, Oceania, the Middle East, and other assigned regionsTrain customers, dealers, and service partners on equipment features, proper usage, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting.
Provide technical advice to prevent major or minor engine/equipment damage and ensure optimal performance.
After-Sales & Warranty Support
Maintain after-sales support on all matters relating to warranty, quality issues, parts returns, and warranty claims.
Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for failures, recurring faults, and product performance issues.Support the execution of warranty/service activities for all customers, distributors, and OEM projects.
Report, investigate, calculate, and supervise transport damage assessments and re-testing when required.
Coordination & DocumentationLiaise and coordinate with equipment suppliers (e.g., governors, turbochargers, air motors, pumps, coolers, fuel/lubrication systems).
Coordinate with the factory for technical meetings, technical training, engineering discussions, and product improvement feedback.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation including service reports, commissioning checklists, test data, and system drawings.
Support planning, scheduling, and resource coordination for service and project activities.
Assist in preparation and review of technical proposals, tenders, submissions, and cost estimations when required.
Ensure smooth handover from engineering to service teams after commissioning.
Product, Quality & Field Testing
Execute technical marketing tasks including competitor analysis, dealer/OEM assessments, and market technical reviews.
Plan and conduct field tests, collect data, and prepare technical evaluations.
Provide structured feedback to R&D, engineering, and quality teams to support product improvement and development.
Monitor and analyze equipment performance trends to identify potential issues and recommend preventive actions.
Safety & ComplianceMaintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring adherence to Work Safety Health (WSH) guidelines and company safety policies.
Conduct risk assessments, site safety briefings, and ensure safe practices during on-site work.
Report incidents, near misses, hazards, and participate in continuous safety improvement activities.
Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned in the course of work.
