Maintenance Technician (Hotel)

We are looking for experienced technician to be part of our Engineering Team to perform maintenance and repair on our building services in the hotel. This role supports to provide a comfortable, well-maintained and safe environment for guests while ensuring compliance with all statutory and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine preventive and corrective maintenance of the hotel’s electrical, mechanical and building systems, including air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, and water systems.

• Maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure hotel is functional and in good condition

• Perform general repair and maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor fixture repairs.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns, ensuring timely resolution.

• Report faults, abnormalities, and potential risks to supervisors or relevant contractors.

• Provide prompt updates with internal departments to address maintenance issues efficiently and minimize disruption to operations.

• Liaise with and supervise external contractors when assigned

• Maintain accurate records on maintenance activities, repairs.

• Ensure compliance to building and fire safety rules and regulations

• Any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Engineering Manager
  

Requirements:

• Possess at least Certificate/NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities Management or Building Services or equivalent

• At least 2 years’ experience in building maintenance and repair work particularly in Hotel Industry will be of advantage.

• Experience in direct expansion system (VRV, multi-split) will be of advantage

• Able to lift heavy loads and equipment and able to communicate in English

• Team player and able to work independently

• Able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
