Responsibilities
Ensure code quality, scalability, maintainability, performance, and adherence to coding standards across internal and vendor teams.
Conduct code reviews and audits, identify technical debt, and recommend remediation strategies.
Review and validate low-level designs, including class diagrams, sequence diagrams, API contracts, database schemas, and ER diagrams.
Govern architecture compliance and ensure implementations align with approved frameworks, patterns, and solution architecture standards.
Define and oversee source code management practices, including branching, merging, baselining, version control, and release management.
Monitor and enforce CI/CD pipeline adoption, automation standards, and development best practices.
Proactively identify technical risks and recommend mitigation plans to improve system quality and stability.
Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, technical guidance, and support for development teams.
Ensure application performance, security, regulatory compliance, and proper documentation of architecture and design decisions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, vendors, and IT planning teams to deliver web and mobile channel applications aligned with business and enterprise architecture objectives.
Requirements
Approximately 10+ years of experience delivering IT solutions within financial institutions.
Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, gRPC, and microservices architecture for high-volume applications.
Proven experience developing and securing internet-facing web and mobile applications, including SSO, OIDC, SAML, MFA, SPA architectures, and OWASP standards.
Deep knowledge of integration technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ/RabbitMQ, APIs, and secure file-based/system integrations.
Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, Maven, GitOps/ArgoCD, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployment models.
Strong understanding of Oracle, NoSQL databases, ElasticSearch, and data formats/protocols including JSON, XML, Protobuf, and OpenAPI.
Exposure to banking, payments, cash management, or related financial services domains, with strong enterprise architecture and governance knowledge.
