About the role

AutoCAD Drafter responsible for preparing detailed 2D drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD. The role involves developing layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings based on engineering and design requirements, and ensuring all drawings are accurate, complete, and comply with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD

• Develop layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings based on engineering and design requirements

• Revise and update drawings according to project changes, site conditions, and consultant comments

• Ensure all drawings are accurate, complete, and comply with project specifications

• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain technical information

• Assist in resolving drawing discrepancies and technical issues

• Ensure drawings are properly coordinated with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process requirements

• Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions when required

• Maintain proper filing and version control of drawings and technical documents

• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements

About you

• Diploma, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Building Services, Drafting Technology, or a related field

• Minimum 1–3 years of AutoCAD drafting experience

• Proficient in AutoCAD

• Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings

• Knowledge of drafting standards and construction practices

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Good organizational and document management skills

• Experience in construction, HVAC, ACMV, M&E, cleanroom, piping, or industrial projects is preferred

• Familiarity with Revit or BIM software is an advantage
