Research Officer/Research fellow (Colorectal cancer study) - #1160103

You will be responsible for planning and conducting experiments for a study exploring combination therapy in colorectal cancer. The responsibilities includes (but not limited to):
Work closely with the PI and the study team to plan, execute, and troubleshoot experiments.
Establishing, characterising, and maintaining genetically modified cancer cell models and human derived cancer organoid, including routine passaging, QC, and banking.
Conduct cancer-immune cells co-culture and evaluate treatment responses using flow cytometry, Luminex, ELISA, immunohistochemistry (IHC), microscopy, and other related assays.
Coordinate with collaborators on sample logistics, timelines, and data sharing.
Maintain accurate, well-annotated experimental records and present regular updates to the PI and the study team.
Manage laboratory operations (inventory, ordering, equipment maintenance) and ensure adherence to safety, biosafety, and institutional compliance requirements.
Prepare progress reports for internal lab meetings, institutional reviews, and conferences.
Contribute to manuscript preparation

Job Requirements
Master or PhD degree in Life Sciences or a related field (or equivalent experience), with proficiency in experimental design and strong hands-on laboratory skill
Proficient in the culture and co-culture of various mammalian cells and immune cells, with practical expertise in maintaining cell lines, handling primary cells and optimizing co-culture system to study cell-cell interactions and immune response in vitro
Proficient in molecular techniques (e.g. flow cytometry, PCR/qPCR, cloning, transfection, Western blotting, etc.); experience in organoid culture is an advantage
Responsible and organised; maintain clear records and follow SOPs and safety/biosafety practices.
Collaborative; comfortable working in a team and learning new methods.
