The Interior Designer/ Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for managing client relationships and delivering high-quality designs that meet client needs and expectations. Additionally, they will select and coordinate materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories, develop construction documentation, and provide support during construction administration. They will also manage and coordinate with the project team to ensure smooth project delivery.
Responsibilities Include:
Support the Lead Designer / Project-In-Charge or Assistant Design Manager in managing the interior design development process.
Develop, review, and refine design concepts and proposals in collaboration with the project team.
Manage or assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure smooth and successful delivery.
Coordinate materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories to create cohesive design outcomes.
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including detailed construction drawings.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
Liaise with clients, consultants (architects, engineers, surveyors), and contractors throughout the project.
Attend client meetings and site visits, providing support during construction administration.
Supervise, mentor, or provide guidance to junior designers (for senior-level candidates).
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and efficient workflow.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and regulatory requirements.
Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Junior level: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Senior level: Minimum 5+ years of experience in high-end residential or commercial projects.
Strong conceptual and design skills, with the ability to translate ideas into detailed construction documentation.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, or Revit.
Good knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, and spatial design.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
Leadership and mentoring capabilities (for senior candidates)
