Senior Laundry Assistant - #1133718

We are looking for Senior Laundry Assistant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITES

• Day-to-day washing, drying, and folding of Residents’ linen including pajamas, bed sheets, blankets, pillowcases, towels etc.

• Check cleaned linen for any defects – put aside for discard by Laundry Supervisor or mend them accordingly e.g., Dropped buttons from resident pajamas.

- Linen:

1. Check washing and finished presentation

2. Random checks on linens

3. Monthly report of linens issuance

- Laundry:

1. Pick up soiled laundry from designated locations

2. Wash, dry and fold laundry

3. Deliver clean laundry to the wards

- Reports / Records

1. Ensure proper recording of linens

2. Ensure proper recording of laundry

• Basic daily cleaning and maintaining of laundry machines, chemicals refill and operating of machines.

• Monitor chemical usage and refill.

• Report to management of fault or abnormality found in machines.

• Comply with Safety Linen SOPs.

• Ensure equipment cleanliness at the end of each day and report any irregularities to superior.

• Ensure cleanliness within linens store, laundry room and premises.

• Deliver clean laundry to the wards.

• Assist to liaise with laundry vendor when machine breakdown.

• Support the Senior Operations Executive in overseeing the Laundry Team’s operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and preparing the weekly duty roster.

• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Primary School Education

• Able to carry heavy loads of 10 – 25kg.

• Able to communicate & write in simple English will be an advantage.

• On the job training will be provided.

• Computer Literacy will be an advantage.

• Ability to work individually and within a team.

• Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant or a similar position in the hospitality industry will be an advantage.
