Job Description:
1. Clinical Operations & Workflow Management
• Oversee daily hospital clinical operations with HOD’s across all departments of
Internal Medicine, ECC, Surgery, General Anaesthesia, Laboratory, Imaging,
Exotics and Rehabilitation.
• Standardize and enforce SOPs for patient care, client communication, infection
control, and biosecurity.
• Introduce operational efficiencies integrating staffing data, incident tracking,
and workflow metrics.
• Lead cross-departmental initiatives to improve patient flow, triage efficiency
and inter team coordination brining nursing workflow efficiency.
• Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence on the floor during critical
periods to model accountability and operational discipline.
• Conduct monthly HOD meetings with all HOD and process leads including Dy
Operations Manager, HR, finance, Nursing Engagement & Growth Manager and
ensure departments maintain consistent processes.
• Conduct weekly HR meetings on employee concerns
• Conduct weekly meetings with ECC Day and Night teams meetings and
Operations team meetings for clinical operational issues
2. Rostering and Capacity management
• Oversee master roster planning and collaborate with HODs to coordinate fair,
transparent rosters incorporating fatigue management, recovery schedules,
shift rotations, and resource allocation.
• Ensure ECC staffing meets 24/7 coverage standards using data-driven
scheduling.
• Coordinate morning rounds with HODs of respective departments, and weekly
huddles to identify issues early, balancing manpower workloads and drive
timely resolution.
3. Clinical Process Governance & Standardisation
• Develop and maintain a Clinical Operations Playbook encompassing Clinical
Operation Policies, SOPs, escalation matrix, and compliance criteria applicable
at Organisation and Departmental level.
Ensure the Clinical Operations Playbook is accessible to all Clinical Staff and
create awareness among staff processes defined are implemented at ground
level
• Lead quarterly Clinical Control Reviews covering safety, infection control, and
incident trends.
• Introduce structured shift handover templates and unified incident reporting
procedures.
4. Coordinate Workforce Strategy & Capability Building
• Work with HR, Finance and HODs, to develop a Clinical Workforce Planning
Framework linking all department staffing ratios against case volumes, and
skills competencies needed by the staff.
• Identify skill development gaps and collaborate with HR and the Nursing
Engagement & Growth Manager to address them through targeted training and
mentorship pathways.
• Balances empathy with accountability in staff relations to develop people
leadership across HODs
• Promotes open, respectful dialogue across all levels of Nursing staff.
• Leads teams through digital and procedural transformation through change
management.
5. Shared Responsibilities
• Jointly responsible with the Nursing Engagement & Growth Manager for
ensuring SOPs are aligned with staff training programs and employee KPI’s.
• Collaborate with HR and the Deputy Operations Manager on manpower
sustainability and employee well-being initiatives.
• Ensure consistent documentation practices are aligned with AVS, MOM, and
PDPA regulatory standards in coordination with Deputy Operations Manager.
• Partner with the Deputy Operations Manager on compliance audits and facility
safety checks.
• Partner with Deputy Operations Manager for operational alignment of nursing
staff with Vet and Specialist manpower requirements.
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, Healthcare Management, or related clinical background.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience
