Responsibilities:
Responsible for the transition of a new product from the design phase to mass production, ensuring quality, manufacturability, and timely launch
Project Management: Leading NPI projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources. Communicating project progress and results to stakeholders
Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with design, manufacturing, and other engineering teams. Facilitating communication and collaboration between different departments. Providing feedback to design engineers on manufacturability issues
Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Reviewing product designs for manufacturability and ease of assembly. Identifying potential manufacturing issues and recommending design changes
Process Development: Developing and documenting manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality control procedures. Ensuring that processes are robust, repeatable, and efficient
Manufacturing Support: Overseeing and supporting pilot builds and production ramps. Identifying and resolving any manufacturing issues that arise during the transition. Supporting the selection and validation of tooling and equipment
Quality Assurance: Ensuring that new products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Developing and implementing quality control plans. Participating in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and other risk assessment processes
Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Analysing data to identify trends and areas for optimization
Any other tasks as assigned by Reporting Officer
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics), or a related field
Minimum 2 years of working experience in high precision assembly or design
Project Management Skills-Experience in managing projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and monitoring
Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes- direct experience in mechanics, electronics, control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics in semiconductor industry
Knowledge in Assembly of mechatronics systems, linear motors, sensors, servos, actuators, dynamics, controls, etc
Complex mechatronic systems for test and qualification of design changes
Exposure to multi-disciplinary projects, such as imaging/optical systems, semiconductor, or lithography preferred but not mandatory
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and able to perform root cause analysis & resolve problems on a conceptual and advanced trouble shooting level
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
Proficiency in reading and updating technical drawings
Experience in Cleanroom
