Working Days: 5-6  days a week

Working Hours: 10 AM - 8 PM

JOB SUMMARY/ JOB OVERVIEW : 

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Hair Assistant who’s eager to build a career in a salon environment that celebrates learning, creativity, and teamwork. This is an excellent opportunity to grow under the guidance of experienced stylists and be part of a supportive and inspiring team where you’ll learn the fundamentals of hairstyling and client care.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist stylists with shampooing, blow-drying, prepping hair for treatments, and applying products.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, equipment, and the salon area.

• Welcome clients and ensure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for.

• Prepare workstations and stock up supplies ahead of appointments.

• Learn and support coloring, toning, and other techniques under supervision.

• Support team with laundry, towel management, and general salon upkeep.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Friendly, proactive, and passionate about hair, fashion, and aesthetics.

• A graduate from a hair or cosmetology program or someone exploring a long-term career in hairstyling is a plus, but not required. 

• Excellent hygiene, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.

• Able to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment.

• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays, based on operational needs.

KEY DELIVERABLES: 

• Demonstrate visible progress in foundational hair skills month by month.

• Ensure clients are welcomed, seated, and comfortable

• Ensure all tools are sterilized and stored correctly after each use.

• Provide accurate and timely prep work for stylists (e.g. mixing color, sectioning hair, blow-drying under supervision).

• Stay alert to stylists' needs and proactively assist to minimize downtime.

• Follow all health and safety protocols related to chemical services and sanitation.
