Logistics Dispatcher / Transport Coordinator (West) - #1133072

Job Summary

We are seeking a Logistics Dispatcher / Transport Coordinator to manage daily delivery routing, vehicle scheduling, and transport operations. The role is responsible for coordinating drivers, monitoring loading activities, tracking vehicles in transit, and resolving delivery exceptions to ensure smooth and timely fulfilment.

This position supports day and night shifts, depending on operational requirements.

Working Arrangements

• Shift Options:

  • Night Shift: 12:00 AM – 9:00 AM

  • Day Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Working Hours: 9 hours per shift

• Work Pattern: 6 days work, 1 day rest

• Shift assignment may vary based on operational needs

Key Responsibilities

1. Route Planning & Scheduling

• Plan and optimise delivery routes within assigned distribution areas

• Ensure efficient utilisation of vehicles and manpower

2. Vehicle & Manpower Dispatch

• Coordinate daily deployment of delivery vehicles and drivers

• Ensure sufficient manpower allocation for daily delivery schedules

3. Loading Supervision

• Supervise on-site loading activities to ensure correct handling and loading of goods

• Ensure loading is carried out safely and according to operational requirements

4. Exception Handling

• Handle on-site loading issues and resolve operational exceptions promptly

• Coordinate corrective actions to minimise delivery delays

5. In-Transit Monitoring

• Track vehicles during delivery routes

• Respond quickly to in-transit issues such as delays, breakdowns, or route deviations

6. Communication & Coordination

• Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams, and relevant stakeholders

• Provide timely updates on delivery status and operational issues

Job Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred

• Experience in logistics, transport coordination, fleet management, or dispatch operations is an advantage

• Basic computer literacy (e.g. data entry, basic systems usage)

• Able to communicate effectively in a work environment

• Strong coordination, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities

• Able to work in a fast-paced operational environment

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including night shifts when required
