Job Summary

iConnexion is a leading electronics solutions provider, specializing in components, connectors, and modules for advanced PCBA and embedded applications. We are looking for a proactive Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our Penang team.

As a FAE, you will serve as the technical bridge between customers, suppliers, and internal sales teams, driving design-in opportunities and supporting customer projects from concept to mass production. This is a customer-facing, solution-driven engineering role, not a service or repair position.

The ideal candidate is passionate about electronics, skilled in design and application engineering, and eager to solve real-world technical challenges for clients across consumer, automotive, and industrial markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide design-in support, application guidance, and technical solutions for PCBA-level components, connectors, and modules.

• Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer requirements and recommend tailored electronics solutions.

• Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for customers.

• Work closely with suppliers to understand their product portfolios and transfer knowledge to customers.

• Support customers throughout the entire product development lifecycle: evaluation, prototyping, and mass production.

• Stay updated on the latest technologies, industry trends, and emerging solutions to provide strategic advice to clients.

• Provide technical feedback to internal teams for product positioning and solution improvements.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer success and project delivery.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Field Application Engineering (FAE), application engineering, or design engineering (connectors, modules, semiconductors, or PCBA preferred).

• Strong knowledge of electronics design and applications, beyond troubleshooting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Customer-oriented, proactive, and possessing a problem-solving mindset.

• Own transport and willingness to travel locally and occasionally regionally.

• Hands-on experience with PCBA-level components, connectors, wireless/electromechanical modules, analog & digital applications is a plus.
