Job Summary:

We are seeking an Optics Engineer to design, develop, and support optical and illumination systems for vision-based applications.

The role involves hands-on optical design, testing, and troubleshooting to improve system performance and support ongoing product and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement optical and illumination components and systems for vision inspection applications.

• Troubleshoot optical, illumination, and imaging issues to optimize system performance and image quality.

• Propose and implement improvements to optical designs to enhance resolution, contrast, and stability.

• Perform optical alignment, setup, and validation during system integration and testing.

• Support engineering teams with optical evaluations, testing, and documentation.

• Work with lenses, LEDs, and illumination techniques suitable for high-magnification and precision imaging.

• Prepare and update basic technical drawings and documentation related to optical components.

• Assist in vendor evaluation and component selection when required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Optics Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a related field.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of optical design principles and imaging systems.

• Experience or familiarity with optical design software, optical alignment, and optical testing is preferred.

• Knowledge of high-magnification optics, lenses, and LED illumination is an advantage.

• Ability to read and prepare basic 2D drawings (e.g., AutoCAD) is beneficial.

• Understanding of optical specifications, design trade-offs, and basic modeling techniques.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a project-based environment.

• Relevant experience in optics, machine vision, or semiconductor-related applications is a plus.
