About the role

As a Safety Coordinator at Al Jaber Heavy Lift & Transport Pte Ltd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our team on a contract basis in the Tuas West Region. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our comprehensive health and safety protocols, helping to create a safe and secure working environment for all.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards

• Developing and delivering safety training programs to educate employees on best practices

• Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents, and implementing corrective actions

• Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to all safety-related activities

• Collaborating with project managers and supervisors to ensure safety is a top priority on all job sites

• Staying up-to-date with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices

• Promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging all employees to prioritise safe work habits

What we're looking for

• Relevant experience in a safety coordinator or similar role within the construction industry

• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, including OSHA and other relevant standards

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees

• Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety program development

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safety objectives

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Willingness to work on a contract basis in the Tuas West Region
