Join us as a Food & Beverage Supervisor in Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong where you will be based at our Baba Chews Restaurent. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. We’re looking for someone who can:
Financial returns:
Assist the Food and Beverage Operation Manager in driving promotions that deliver great dining experiencesfor the guests at our F&B Outlets
Assist in placing orders to vendors and compute costs for each beverage, ingredient, supply or other materials.
Guests are conversed with in relation to the food and beverage products
Beverages are upsold and regularly replenished, abiding by responsible alcohol service regulations
Promoting and selling cocktails to guests
Recycles where-ever possible and enforces cost saving measures to staff
Guests are conversed with in relation to the food and beverage products
People:
Communicates to his / her superior any difficulties, guest comments and other relevant information
Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships
Attends and participates in daily briefings, other meetings and training sessions as scheduled
Ensuringn team members are current on product knowledge, product offerings and promotions
Educate and train all team members in compliance with Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong standards and policies. Ensure staff is properly trained on quality and service standards, has the necessary tools and equipment, and is empowered to carry out job duties.
Guest experience:
Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
Works with Food & Beverage Operation Manager and Human Resources to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive.
Conduct on the job training in accordance with the departmental standards and procedures and maintains arecord of progress for each staff member
Provide input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions in line with company guidelines
Ensure new staff attend Cluster Orientation/Katong Orienation/Neighbourhood Walk within first month of hire
Coach, counsel and discipline staff in breach of hotel policies and departmental procedures, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance
Provides prompt, courteous customer service by discovering customer needs and management support, by ensuring that every experience will be fast, friendly, and delicious.
Ensure that all food and beverage facilities including banquet/convention space are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume. Notify Engineering/Housekeeping Department immediately of any maintenance and repair needs.
Qualifications and requirements
High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field, with 3 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
