We are partnering with one of the biggest construction firm in Singapore and are looking for Assistant Manager (Technical, Design) to join the firm!

Job Scope

• Lead and supervise a team of Design and Coordination Engineers to coordinate design drawings with consultants in accordance with regulatory and project requirements.

• Serve as the primary point of contact between consultants, clients, contractors, and authorities on all design- and technical-related matters.

• Provide guidance to the team in preparing and reviewing technical submissions, including shop drawings, material approvals, and method statements.

• Manage and monitor submission processes to local authorities to ensure timely approvals and regulatory compliance.

• Take the lead in resolving design and technical issues encountered during construction by working closely with Architectural, M&E teams, consultants, and relevant authorities.

• Review and respond to technical queries by raising Requests for Approval (RFA) and Requests for Information (RFI) to obtain design clarifications.

• Propose, assess, and implement value engineering initiatives to improve cost efficiency, safety, constructability, and overall project quality.

Job Requirements

• Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering consultancy.

• Strong understanding of local building codes, authority regulations, and construction methods.

• Self-motivated, analytical, and able to work independently while demonstrating strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

• Certification in Design for Safety for Professionals will be considered an added advantage.
