We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Food Technician to oversee food safety, quality assurance, and Halal compliance in our central kitchen operations. This role ensures that all products meet regulatory standards and MUIS Halal Certification Conditions while supporting continuous improvement in food manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Halal Compliance & Coordination
Ensure full adherence to MUIS Halal Certification Conditions (HCC), including documentation, audits, and certification renewals.
Act as the liaison with MUIS and appointed Halal consultants.
Maintain and update Halal-related SOPs and training materials.
Conduct internal Halal audits and prepare for MUIS inspections.
Quality Assurance
Implement and monitor food safety and quality control procedures (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished goods.
Investigate and resolve non-conformities or customer complaints related to product quality.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of QA and Halal activities, including traceability logs, cleaning schedules, and staff training.
Prepare reports for internal review and external audits.
Coordinate with the Operations team to schedule and dispatch food deliveries from the central kitchenAssist in food packaging and labeling to ensure accuracy and readiness for delive
Conduct regular training for kitchen staff on Halal practices and food safety standards.
Promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Diploma or equivalent in Food Science, Nutrition, or related field preferred
Possess good communication and interpersonal skill
Prior experience in food quality assurance or Halal compliance is an advantage
Familiarity with SFA and MUIS Halal guidelines
Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Physically capable and comfortable with hands-on tasks including packaging and coordination
Minimum 1 years experience in QA or Halal compliance in food manufacturing.
Familiarity with MUIS Halal Certification Conditions and food safety standards.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
5 days work week, need to work one Saturday per month
Work Hours: Mon - Thurs 8am - 5.30pm, Fri 8am - 5pm
