Implementation of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Policies
The Safety Coordinator assists in implementing the company’s Workplace Safety and Health policies, Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Risk Assessment (RA) measures at the site or workplace. He/She ensures all activities are carried out in compliance with MOM, WSH Act, and relevant Codes of Practice.Conduct Site Safety Inspections and Hazard Identification
Responsible for conducting regular safety inspections, housekeeping checks, and hazard identification at the worksite. The Safety Coordinator reports unsafe acts or conditions, recommends corrective actions, and follows up to ensure rectification is completed within the required timeframe.Support Risk Assessment and Method Statements
Assists the Safety Officer or Project Team in preparing, reviewing, and updating Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Method Statements. Ensures that control measures are communicated and properly implemented before commencement of work.Safety Training, Toolbox Meetings, and Communication
Coordinates and conducts toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety induction for workers and subcontractors. Ensures workers understand safety rules, emergency procedures, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Incident Reporting and Documentation
Assists in reporting, recording, and investigating incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences. Maintains safety records, inspection reports, training attendance, and compliance documents, and supports the Safety Officer in submitting reports to management and authorities when required.
