Cleanroom Environmental Technician - #1130359

The Cleanroom Environmental Technician is responsible for maintaining and preserving the cleanliness, environmental integrity, and contamination-controlled conditions of semiconductor cleanroom areas. The role ensures compliance with ISO cleanroom standards, customer requirements, EHS regulations, and internal SOPs to support high-yield semiconductor manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning of cleanroom areas (ISO Class 6 & 7), including production bays, tool areas, sub-fabs, and gowning rooms

• Clean and disinfect cleanroom surfaces, floors, walls, ceilings, tools, and fixtures using approved chemicals, wipes, and methods

• Execute contamination control practices to prevent particulate, molecular, and chemical contamination.

• Handle cleanroom waste and chemical disposal according to EHS and cleanroom protocols

• Support cleanroom environmental monitoring activities (e.g., particle counts, temperature, humidity checks) as per SOP

• Record and maintain cleaning logs, checklists, and monitoring records accurately

• Report abnormal conditions, contamination events, or deviations to supervisors promptly

• Assist during customer, internal, and regulatory audits related to cleanroom compliance

• Adhere strictly to cleanroom gowning, behaviour, and material control procedures

• Educate and guide visitors or new personnel on basic cleanroom discipline when required

• Ensure proper storage, handling, and laundering of cleanroom garments and consumables

• Operate cleanroom-approved cleaning tools, vacuum systems, and floor scrubbers

• Ensure availability and proper storage of cleanroom consumables (wipes, chemicals, garments)

• Perform basic inspection and upkeep of cleaning equipment, report malfunctions

• Comply with all EHS, chemical handling, and safety requirements

• Follow company quality systems, SOPs, and work instructions

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum secondary education or equivalent

• 1–3 years of experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom, pharmaceutical cleanroom, or controlled environment preferred

• Fresh candidates with cleanroom training may be considered
