Head of Overseas Business Center
Position Title: General Manager, Overseas Business Center (Chip Distribution Industry)
Reports to: CEO
Location: Hong Kong / Singapore / Taiwan (Optional)
Core Objective:
Establish and operate the Overseas Business Center to achieve market share, revenue, and profit growth targets in key regions (Southeast Asia / Europe / North America).
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
Develop 3–5 year strategic plans for overseas business, defining market entry strategies (e.g., distribution network deployment, localized warehousing/logistics systems, tiered customer management).
Lead negotiations with upstream original manufacturers for overseas cooperation, securing regional distributorship and resource support.
Build strategic partnerships with downstream customers (OEMs/ODMs, solution providers) and drive Design-in projects.
Operations Management
Build a localized team (sales, FAE, supply chain) and establish performance evaluation systems tailored to regional characteristics.
Optimize inventory turnover and cash flow management, while mitigating cross-border trade risks (exchange rates, compliance, payment terms).
Promote the implementation of digital tools (e.g., online trading platforms, inventory management systems) in regional markets.
Industry Resource Integration
Expand local industry associations, chambers of commerce, and exhibition resources to enhance brand influence in target markets.
Identify mergers, acquisitions, or joint venture opportunities, and integrate resources of small to medium-sized regional distributors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, International Business, or related fields.
10+ years of experience in chip distribution/agency industry, including 5+ years in managing Asia-Pacific/Europe-America regional operations (experience with upstream original manufacturers or leading distributors preferred).
Proven track record of successfully leading overseas market expansion from 0 to 1 (performance data required).
Familiar with chip demand trends in key segments such as automotive electronics, industrial control, and consumer electronics.
Established relationships with original manufacturers, customer networks, and government contacts in target regions.
Experience in leading multicultural teams and adaptability to frequent international travel.
Fluent in English as a working language (proficiency for business negotiations required); knowledge of local languages (e.g., Malay, Thai) is a plus.
