Network Engineer - #1129788

Key Responsibilities

1.      Install, configure, upgrade and administer Alcatel Lucent wired and wireless network AP, controllers and management modules.

2.      Manage and administer Peplinks, Radware Network Load Balancers, HP Aruba ClearPass 802.1x authentications.

3.      Perform network troubleahooting issue. Identification and resolution, network devices firmware patching, bug fixes and upgrading.

4.      Perform regular network performance  monitoring to identify any possible performance issue.

5.      Doxument and maintain all network configurations, setup and inventory and SOP.

6.      Work closely and provide technical support to other IT teams as required.

7.      Assist Head IT Infrastructure and Operaions to implement and carry out regular disaster recovery procedures.

8.      Assist Head, IT Infrastructure and Operations to manage and monitor vendor managed services and ensure SLAs are met in accordnance with the underpinning contracts.

Job Requirements

1.      Advance Diploma or University degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems or Software Engineering, and/or 2-4 years or more equivalent work experience.

2.      Possess any of the certifications: CCNA or Alcaltel Lucent certified network specialist.

3.      Minimum 3 years of experience in management and technical support of day-to-day, onsite wired and wireless network setup in a corporate environment.

4.      Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP / IP, BGP and OSPF) and network architecture principles.

5.      Experience and / or knowledge in network configuration in virtualized infrastructure and monitoring tools.

6.      Experience in cloud network concepts and technologies such as Azure and AWS.

7.      2 years of experience and / or good knowledge in incidents and service request management within ITIL frameworks.

8.      Experience in monitoring and managing support issues at site to identify patterns and common issues thus to improve overall reliability and quality of services.

9.      Understand IT technical concepts and able to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.

10.  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

11.  Excellent customer facing qualities with flexible, can-do attitude.

12.  Strong people and vendor management and task oriented.
