IT Application and Support Specialist (ETRM, Oil and Gas, Up to $7k) - #1129365

About the role

My client is seeking a talented and dedicated IT Application and Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at. In this full-time position based in the Central Region, you will be responsible for planning, implementation and improving our critical ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) software systems, catering to the unique needs of our clients.

What you'll be doing

1. Lead and support the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of business application systems (such as SAP, ETRM, and other core applications) for the company and its group companies in the APAC region.

2. Provide timely and effective troubleshooting and issue resolution for ETRM system users

3. Coordinate and supervise IT vendors and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery of IT services.

4. Support IT-related matters for other group companies and subsidiaries in the APAC region as needed.Develop and implement comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies for the ETRM systems

5. Analyse system logs, identify trends and proactively address potential problems

6. Document and maintain detailed technical and user support knowledge base

7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new ETRM software capabilities

8. Support group companies in their budget management and assist in the planning and development of effective IT systems to enhance these processes.

9. Continuously striving to achieve self-development to expand IT skills/knowledge.

10. Provide training and guidance to end-users on ETRM system features and functionality

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT application management, with a focus on ETRM software or similar ERP/trading systems in the Oil and Gas industry

2. Proven expertise in administering and troubleshooting ETRM applications, databases and related infrastructure

3. Strong technical skills in areas such as database management, systems analysis, and software development

4. Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

5. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

6. Relevant certifications in ETRM, IT service management or project management are desirable
