The Sales Executive is responsible for driving cargo revenue growth and expanding the customer base for the airline(s) represented by the GSSA. This role focuses on proactively securing new business, maintaining strong relationships with freight forwarders and key partners, and promoting the airline’s products and capacities. The Sales Executive will collaborate closely with internal teams, airlines, and handling partners to ensure smooth operations and deliver excellent customer service that supports overall commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, tonnage, and yield targets.
Identify new business opportunities, new customer accounts and actively secure cargo bookings.
Promote airline products, routes, schedules, and special cargo capabilities to customers.
Conduct regular sales visits, customer engagements, and market outreach activities.
Monitor competitor activities, market conditions, and industry trends.
Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, ground handling agents, and Airline Principals.
Provide timely updates on flight schedules, booking status, restrictions, and service offerings to the freight forwarders.
Manage customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure high satisfaction levels.
Work closely with the sales support, customer service teams to ensure smooth booking handling and cargo acceptance.
Coordinate with airline principals, handling agents, and interline partners to support sales execution.
Assist in preparing sales reports, performance analysis, and forecasts for airline partners.
Ensure compliance with airline policies, service standards, and operational requirements.
Maintain accurate sales records, CSR, and account activity logs.
Provide monthly sales performance reports and market updates to management and airline partners.
Support promotional campaigns, product launches, marketing activities and strong advocate for our digitalization efforts.
Requirements:
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in air cargo sales, freight forwarding, or related logistics roles (GSSA experience is an advantage).
Good understanding of air cargo operations, market dynamics, and industry stakeholders.
Excellent communication, negotiation, customer relationship skills and team player.
Proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to travel for customer visits and airline engagements when required.
