Supervisor of Counterfeit Detection Laboratory

Key Responsibilities: 

·         Lead and perform visual inspections of electronic components with microscopes and the naked eye to ensure they meet manufacturer specs and are damage-free. 

·         Conduct alcohol swipes and scrape tests to verify products aren’t black topped. 

·         Identify “red flags” for suspect or counterfeit parts and escalate issues as needed. 

·         Operate and oversee maintenance of analytical lab instruments including XRF, X-RAY, microscopy, decapsulation, solderability, curve tracing, and C-SAM. 

·         Ensure accurate documentation and timely upload of inspection data using proprietary systems. 

·         Prepare and review detailed test reports to meet industry and customer standards. 

·         Update and improve laboratory testing methods and work instructions regularly. 

·         Coordinate with third-party labs for calibration, equipment maintenance, and additional testing requirements. 

·         Assist in maintaining ISO 17025 lab accreditation and support customer audits. 

·         Supervise and mentor lab technicians, managing daily workflow and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements: 

·         Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in component inspection, testing, and counterfeit detection, preferably in a supervisory role. 

·         Knowledge of ESD controls and ISO 17025 lab systems is a plus. 

·         Familiarity with the electronics distribution industry is advantageous. 

·         Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. 

·         Ability to thrive in a fast-paced lab environment and lead a team effectively. 

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
