About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced BIM (Building Information Modelling) modeller cum site coordinator who will be responsible for creating, updating, and managing digital 3D models of buildings and infrastructure using BIM software. Specifically, this candidate should be competent in BIM relating to MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) works. 

This candidate should also perform the role of a construction site coordinator and play a pivotal role in managing daily operations on construction sites. The candidate would ensure that projects run smoothly, safely, and on schedule by coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, and acting as a liaison between contractors, clients, and project managers. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Model Development: Create accurate and detailed 3D models for MEP systems using software such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. 

• Model/Drawing Registry: Develop and maintain a comprehensive drawings and/or models registry, including shop drawings, sections, elevations, detailed views, and as-built documentation.  

• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather design inputs and ensure model accuracy. Generate and implement Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes to support project coordination and visualization 

• Documentation: Extract 2D drawings, schedules, and material takeoffs from BIM models for construction documentation. 

• Clash Detection: Run clash detection reports and assist in resolving spatial conflicts between building systems. 

• Model Updates: Revise models based on design changes, redline markups, or site feedback. Ensure regular updates for submission and distribution to site personnel for construction and record-keeping purposes 

• Standards Compliance: Ensure all models adhere to BIM Execution Plans (BEP), company protocols, and industry standards. 

• Library Management: Create and maintain BIM families and components for reuse across projects. 

• Coordination Support: Participate in coordination meetings and assist Project Manager in project delivery. 

• Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day site activities and ensure work is progressing according to plans and timelines. 

• Team Coordination: Schedule and manage subcontractors, laborers, and site personnel to optimize productivity. 

• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations. 

• Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones, report delays or issues, and provide updates to senior management. 

• Resource Management: Ensure timely delivery and efficient use of materials, tools, and equipment. 

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, material usage, and incident reports. 

• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the point of contact between site teams, engineers, architects, and clients. 

• Problem Solving: Address on-site challenges quickly and effectively to minimize disruptions. 

Qualifications and Requirements 

Education & Certifications 

• Degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or related field 

• Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit) or equivalent BIM certification 

Technical Skills 

• Proficiency in BIM software: Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks 

• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings 

• Experience with clash detection and 3D visualization 

• Familiarity with collaborative platforms like BIM 360
