Health & Safety Executive (WSH) - #1128031

Job Roles 

• Assist the Senior Safety & Security Manager in managing company’s Workplace Safety, Health, Environment in rolling out all Safety, Health, Environmental and Security related activities.

• Act as Secretary for WSH Committee.

• Be assigned as FSM for any premises managed by the Company.

• Investigate any workplace incidents that may lead to injury, occupational disease, and recommend corrective actions, follow up with stakeholders on corrective actions.

• Conduct regular safety inspections and Fire Safety Inspections.

• Conduct odd hours inspection, including occasional weekends.

• Engage and workforce on safe work safe place safe zone mantra.  

• Identify all possible hazards, put in control measures to mitigate risk as low as reasonably practicable.

• Be updated on the local regulations and code of practice and update the company on the applicable changes and implementations, if any.

• Conduct fire drills, table-top exercises or any crisis management exercises as required by relevant Authorities.

• Maintain Emergency Response Plan manuals and update any changes.

• Submit annual fire safety report.

• Handle CERT requirements and conduct refresher training/ drills/ assessments.

• Handle ad hoc duties or projects assigned related to WSH, emergency preparedness, crisis management or pandemic response matters.

• Conduct safety briefings, safety induction and safety campaigns to employees.

• Track KPIs and put in measures to improve the performance should the KPI deviates outside the desired outcomes.

• For any recurring incidents, to quickly conduct Safety Pause (Safety Stand Down) to employees of that Business Units to create awareness, provide sound advise to the team on ways to prevent similar incident from recurring.

• Be part of the ISO 45001 team as Internal Auditor.

• Any other functions as assign by Senior Safety & Security Manager.

• Supervise and ensure workplace safety and health risks are identified, assessed, and controlled, and provide employees with information on compliance to workplace safety and health policies.

Job Requirements 

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.

• Registered Fire Safety Manager with SCDF.

• Experience with ISO 45001 as Internal Auditor.

• Proficient in English language (verbal and written). Good command in verbal Chinese language to communicate with Chinese speaking associates.
