Brief Summary:
Join a dynamic engineering team where you will leverage your precision manufacturing expertise to provide exceptional technical support and enhance in-house capabilities. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review customer drawings, specifications, and BOM to understand technical requirements.

• Provide cycle-time estimations for machining processes and submit to the Sales team.

• Prepare markup drawings and detailed subcontractor scopes for the Purchasing team.

• Assess in-house capability, feasibility, and cycle-time for gun-drilling operations.

• Offer technical guidance to Sales, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

• Collaborate with internal and external customers to identify requirements and propose effective solutions.

• Identify opportunities for improvement and actively contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) projects using DMAIC methodology.

• Utilize engineering expertise to resolve and troubleshoot technical issues that arise during manufacturing.

• Participate in the development of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives, including hazard/incident identification and risk assessments.

• Ensure work practices align with HSE policies, objectives, and legal requirements.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisors, such as creating process routers and technical reports.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas sector with a focus on CNC machining or precision engineering.

• Proven understanding of manufacturing processes and methods, including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.

• Experience with ERP systems and solid knowledge of Kaizen, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma techniques.

• Basic project management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and AutoCAD/SolidWorks.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, with a strong understanding of GD&T.

• Capability to estimate cycle time and machining effort based on customer specifications.

• In-depth technical background in gun drilling to enhance the process.

• Strong knowledge of machining processes, including turning, milling, and deep-hole drilling.

• Effective communication skills across various functions and the ability to perform well under pressure.
