Our client specializes in producing a wide range of products for the food industry, including oil, noodles, dairy products, and more within the ASEAN region. They are seeking a Food Technologist / Senior Food Technologist to join the R&D team, focusing on the application of emulsifiers for cake and bakery products. You will be involved in product development, formulation, testing, and customer support activities to ensure our bakery solutions meet both quality standards and client needs.
【 Responsibilities 】
- Develop and improve food improvers, formulations, and applications related to emulsifiers for cake products.
- Conduct baking trials, including preparation of cakes, rolls, and pastries, and perform comparison tests for emulsifiers.
- Work closely with the Sales and Application teams to provide technical support and ensure product performance meets customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues both in-house and at client sites.
- Propose and develop innovative concepts and prototypes based on market trends and business needs.
- Ensure all products and formulations comply with regulatory and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of methods, findings, and project documentation.
- Conduct shelf-life studies and sensory evaluations of products.
- Present new concepts and conduct live baking demonstrations for customers and seminars.
- Support sample preparation and manage testing schedules.
- Uphold hygiene and safety standards within the laboratory and production areas.

【Requirements & Preferences】
(Must)
- Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of R&D hands-on experience in cake products with cake-baking experience
- Strong technical knowledge in bakery formulation, food improvers, and emulsifiers.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and sampling processes.
- Possesses good sensory evaluation skills and a broad sense of taste.
- Consistent, hardworking, and able to manage multiple projects independently.
- Comfortable with handling non-halal products and ingredients
- Comfortable with long-standing hours, attending events, and traveling overseas when required (depending on projects, especially for Senior Food Technologist)
(Advantageous)
- Experience in R&D for baked cakes, rolls, and pastry
