Direct and lead the hot kitchen team, managing tasks and tracking progress.
Optimize workflow and resource use within the hot kitchen.
Supervise the preparation, and cooking, to meet standards.
Maintain high food quality, consistency, and presentation.
Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene rules (e.g., HACCP, FSSC).
Help monitor inventory, communicate stock requirements, and reduce waste.
Ensure correct usage and basic upkeep of hot kitchen equipment.
Guide, coach, and train junior kitchen personnel on the job.
Support staff scheduling and break management.
Observe staff performance and provide feedback to senior chefs.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or senior cook with strong hot kitchen skills and food safety knowledge.
Demonstrated potential to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to perform well under pressure.
Strong communication abilities, a positive work attitude, and a passion for culinary arts.
Willingness to work flexible hours; culinary certifications and food hygiene certificate are advantageous.
