Store Operations & Customer Service Assistant (Contract)
Contract Duration: 3 months
Working Hours: Monday – Saturday, 2:00pm – 9:00pm
Salary: $1,500 / month
Location: 77 Upper East Coast
Job Overview
We are looking for a polite and friendly Store Operations & Customer Service Assistant to manage basic store operations, assist customers, and help drive orchid sales. This role is suitable for someone who prefers minimal physical work, enjoys interacting with customers, and can handle light retail sales.
This is a short-term contract (3 months) position, with the potential to upgrade to full-time if performance meets expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide polite assistance
Handle basic customer enquiries about orchids and store products
Assist in the sale of orchids, including recommending suitable types and care tips to customers
Assist in minor store operations (tidying displays, checking stock)
Support staff with simple tasks, no heavy lifting required
Maintain a clean and welcoming store environment
Interact calmly with pets, as walk-in customers may bring dogs
Requirements
Polite, patient, and customer-oriented
Able to handle enquiries and assist in sales professionally
Comfortable around dogs
No long hours of standing required
Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not mandatory
