System Engineer (IT) | Boon Lay | Up to $5500+ Bonus #2209 - #1127279

About the role

We are seeking an experienced System Engineer (IT) to join our client's team on a contract basis. This is a critical role that will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's IT infrastructure and systems. The successful candidate will be based in the Boon Lay West Region.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Provide in-house IT support for daily operations, including monitoring and troubleshooting of servers, storage, network devices, desktops, and related infrastructure

• Administer system backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and business continuity

• Maintain system security and ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards

• Manage and update antivirus systems to safeguard against threats

• Configure, maintain, and provide support for network equipment

• Deliver help desk support and escalate complex issues to third-party vendors for resolution as needed

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments in line with organizational policies and best practices

• Oversee patch management processes, including coordination, testing, deployment, and validation of security patches

• Manage IT infrastructure and maintain accurate records of hardware/software inventories and licensing compliance

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of network architecture and system configurations

• Monitor system logs and server activity to detect and respond to irregularities proactively

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Information Technology-related studies

• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in system administrator role

• Well verse in Window Clients and Window Servers 2012-2019

• Experience in managing virtualization technologies like VMware server/ESXi

• Strong working knowledge with Cisco Router/Switches would be an advantage

• Working knowledge of Security appliance (FortiGate) will be advantage
