As a Collection Merchandiser, you will play a key role in shaping the seasonal collections by combining market insights, consumer understanding and product expertise. You will support the development of relevant, focused assortments that meet business goals while staying true to the brand’s creative direction.
Job Responsibilities:
Collection Strategy & Framing
Analyse market trends, competitive landscape and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities and gaps.
Support the definition of key themes, product priorities, and strategy per segment and client profile.
Assist in building and editing the collection architecture, ensuring a balanced offer by product style, function, price.
Product Development Support
Develop the Collection Brief based on market insights and seasonal trends, to communicate product needs to Design teams.
Collaborate closely with designers, providing insights and feedback to ensure products align with collection objectives.
Monitor product development progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, specifications, and price targets.
Assortment Building & Collection Sizing
Collaborate with the Retail Merchandising team to analyse historical performance data, supporting collection editing and sizing decisions. Participate in benchmarks identification, potential cannibalization and growth opportunities.
Participate in discussions on carry-over and end-of-life strategies to ensure a balanced and commercially relevant assortment.
Showroom Preparation & Support
Support the creation of all seasonal materials (Collection Book, Buyer’s guide, strategic highlights).
Assist with showroom setup and consolidate buyer feedback to effectively communicate insights to the design teams.
Participate to Order reviews in collaboration with the Retail Merchandising team.
Pricing, Market Feedback
Contribute to analysing pricing positioning versus competition and support pricing proposals with relevant benchmarks.
Collaborate with Retail Merchandising team to consolidate regional qualitative feedback throughout the season (product requests, missed opportunities, local needs).
Documentation & Cross-functional Collaboration
Maintain accurate and updated seasonal master documents (product information, launch plans, price and SKU lists).
Collaborate with transversal teams (VM, Marketing) to ensure smooth communication of seasonal priorities and product storytelling materials.
Ad hoc Tasks
Support special merchandising projects such as process optimisation or automation.
Participate in additional insights work (competitor mappings, trend reviews).
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Fashion Management, or related fields.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to connect data, trends and product intuition.
Genuine passion for product, fashion and luxury goods.
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and a proactive mindset.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
Excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
Prior experience in merchandising, buying or product-related roles preferred.
