Job Summary

The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for the engineering and maintenance of building facilities as well as the mechanical, electrical and domestic water systems of the Hospital. You will also assist in supervising the preventive maintenance, improvement projects and breakdown repairs carried out by the specialised contractors as well as in the commissioning, condemnation and modification of new facilities and equipment. This role is primarily responsible for the general maintenance of the automated basement & EPS car park system and effective functioning of the car park operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the carpark operation in the capacity of team leader.

• Provides general maintenance of the automated car park system.

• Be on standby in case of basement car park breakdown.

• Plans and implements the cyclical and preventive or proactive maintenance for the automated basement car park system.

• Plans and oversees ad hoc maintenance work, whether carried out by in-house technicians or contractors.

• Checks work of service contractor and ensure that maintenance work is done as specified in the contract.

• Submits maintenance proposals, obtains and recommends quotes for major equipment service and others when required.

• Ensures optimum guest service through the delivery of excellent customer service.

• Attends to customer complaints expeditiously and implements corrective or preventive action in consultant with the Senior Engineer.

• Takes corrective and preventive actions where necessary to eliminate or minimize the cause of existing or potential critical quality problems identified.

• Manages car park concessionary, short term season and season parking.

• Performs investigations discreetly when required.

• Be a certified ERT in Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).

• Performs any other duties, including related administrative tasks as necessary from time to time.

Requirements

• A Higher NITEC or recognized Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Services with minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital environment.

• Experience in automation system will be advantageous.

• Good computer skills.
