Equipment Technician - #1127064

1 year contract (renewable)
Mon - Fri, 8am to 5.30pm
Completion bonus of up to 1 month salary
Located in West

Job duties:

• Assist in testing and commissioning new gas equipment and systems to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.
• Perform system checks, functional tests, and SCADA/GMS testing to verify accurate monitoring, alarms, and control integrations.
• Review and verify Bills of Materials for installations and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace faulty components (valves, regulators, sensors, controllers) following safety procedures.
• Support the project engineer in coordinating contractor work on- and off-site, ensuring safe and quality execution.
• Assist in equipment/system handovers to end users or operations teams.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Nitec in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related fields.
• Physically fit for construction-site work.
• Proven experience as a technician, preferably in the semiconductor or a related high-tech manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of gas delivery systems, gas panels, purifiers, and monitoring systems.
• Able to read technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Experience in piping and equipment installation, pipe routing, and SCADA/Gas Monitoring Systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, interpersonal skills.
• Safety-focused with adherence to cleanroom protocols; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
